Bibracte en ADG

Hier, je participais à la reconstitution de la bataille de Bibracte sur la règle ADG, entre les Romains dirigés par César et leurs alliés Eduens contre les réfugiés Helvètes et leurs alliés Gaulois bien décidés à s'installer en Gaule.

Je me suis retrouvé à la tête de l'aile gauche Helvète, Olivier F commandait le centre et Patrice P l'aile droite. Un marche de flanc représentant l'arrière garde devait déboucher sur un des flancs à partir du troisième tour.
Le plan Helvète consistait à temporiser pour déborder ensuite par les ailes et le plan Romain consistait en la même chose. Heureusement pour nous car les légions étaient massées au centre.

L'aile droite romaine décida d'attaquer rapidement ma petite aile avec la cavalerie Eduen et la Xeme légion élite pendant que sur leur gauche, nous nous étendions pour créer des brèches dans leur ligne.
L'arrière garde arriva sur un six miraculeux en fin de tour 3 avec mouvement immédiat ce qui nous permis après avoir détruit la cavalerie adverse, de massacrer les légions du centre gauche et de l'aile gauche. Pendant ce temps, les auxiliaires se faisait aussi massacrer de l'autre côté.

Cette journée se solda par une victoire Helvétique éclatante. Merci aux participants et notamment au général en chef Helvète qui a su nous donner de très bons conseils tactiques.

Déploiement

Yesterday, I participated in the reconstruction of the battle of Bibracte on the rule ADG, between Romain managed by Caesar and their Eduens allies against the Helvetians refugees  and their Gauls allies decided well to settle down in Gaul.

I found myself in the head of the Helvetian left wing, Olivier F commanded the center and Patrice P the right wing. We decided to let the rearguard coming from turn three on the left side.
The Helvetian plan consisted in delaying to extend beyond the wings and the Roman plan  consisted of the same thing. Fortunately for us, because the legions were massed in the center.

The Roman right wing decided to attack quickly my small wing with the Eduen cavalry and the elite Xth legion while on their left, we extended to create breaches in their line.

The rear guard arrived on a supernatural six at the end of turn 3 with immediate movement what allowed us having destroyed the opposite cavalry, having massacred the legions of the center left and the left wing. Meanwhile, the auxiliarieswere also massacred on the other side.
This day ended in a sensational Helvetian victory. Thanks to the participants in particular to the Helvetian general-in chief who knew how to give us very good tactical advices.
