En plus de tout ce que vous avez voulu savoir sur ces unités particulières, on y trouve aussi une analyse des tactiques de contre-guérilla de l'armée Prussienne durant cette période. Ce livre en français coûte 23€.

My second reading tip is this excellent book by Armel Dirou published in 2014 and which deals with the french Corps Francs during the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 and the Prussian repression. In addition to everything you wanted to know about these particular units, there is also an analysis of the counter-guerrilla tactics of the Prussian army during this period. This book in French costs 23 €.
